A beat cop and a hacker, Denis Ryzhkov, are racing against time to solve a murder and stop the launch of a program they believe will have devastating consequences. Denis discovers a highly classified document on a computer. Lieutenant Kachura is trying to connect the murder of Volsky, the wounding of a young woman, and a killing at a substation. He identifies the wounded woman as Daria Mikhasevich, a conservatory student. At Volsky's house, Kachura finds a carefully hidden pre-war photograph of his father. Daria escapes from the hospital. Denis Ryzhkov is attacked at his school in an attempt to steal the computer containing crucial information.
