Description
Anton Pekarsky, the hardened border post commander haunted by the loss of his wife in Afghanistan, receives a chilling letter from the Mujahideen. They offer to return his wife in exchange for assistance smuggling their fighters across the border. Anton, now remarried and with a new family, makes a devil's bargain. The operation, a clandestine dance between the KGB and the burgeoning Osam, is underway. The border guards uncover a hidden tunnel, trapping the insurgents. But the "wife" reveals a brutal truth: his first wife is dead, a pawn in a deadly game of deception.
