Description
Major Kudrin serves at the border outpost where his father died. His repeated refusals of promotion grate on his wife, a simmering tension beneath the surface of their life. During a routine patrol, he discovers a rock concealing sophisticated spy equipment, thwarting the smuggling operation of Tyurin and the terrorist cell led by Hadj. Hadj, plotting a devastating attack on Minsk, kidnaps Kudrin's family, blackmailing him into smuggling a bomb into a packed hockey arena. Faced with an impossible choice, Kudrin chooses duty, risking everything – including the lives of those he loves most – in a desperate gamble against time.
