Description
Nastya Beletskaya, a dancer and Kachura's old school flame, returns to her quiet hometown of Zarechye. The lieutenant barely recognizes the subdued, silent woman before him; she's a shadow of the vibrant, strong Nastya he remembers. Meanwhile, Zarechye is rocked by a string of crimes: illegal immigrants, the murder of a shop owner, and the arson of a wealthy businessman's widow's home. As Kachura investigates these shocking events, his work and personal life collide. Nastya becomes a suspect, her hidden criminal past unearthed. She vehemently denies any involvement and launches her own investigation, mirroring Kachura's, who finds himself entangled in suspicion as well.
